Broken Heart + Broken Television = Police Custody

At about 9:36pm, on Friday, June 10, 2011, officers from Area B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a call for a breaking and entering at 1 Kerr Place. While en route to the call, officers observed a motor vehicle, without headlights on, driving away from the area. Officers stopped the car and later learned that the person sitting in the front passenger seat was wanted in connection with the breaking and entering. When officers spoke to the victim, the victim stated that the suspect was her daughter’s ex-boyfriend who had come by the house to collect some of his belongings. However, according to the victim, when the ex-boyfriend entered her daughter’s room, he began destroying things. Among some of the damage, the suspect ripped a television off a wall and smashed a DVD player. 
When asked about the damage, the suspect, saying he was angry with his ex-girlfriend, admitted to causing it. 

Officers arrested Marlon Vaughan, 26, of Boston and charged him with the Willful & Malicious Destruction of Property.
