Homicide Victim IdentifiedOn Sunday, September 20, 2009, at approximately 2:31am, Boston Police Officers assigned out of Area E-18 (Hyde Park), responded to 28 Hillis Road for a report of a person shot. Upon arrival, Officers located an unconscious 18 year-old female suffering from a single gunshot wound. The victim was soon pronounced as a result of her injuries. The victim has been identified as Paula Castillo, 18, of Dorchester.
Homicide detectives are actively investigating this incident and have some promising leads. The preliminary investigation has indicated that this was not a random incident and the victim is believed to have been targeted.
