28 Hillis Road, Hyde ParkOn Sunday, September 20, 2009, at approximately 2:31am, Boston Police Officers assigned out of Area E-18 (Hyde Park), responded to 28 Hillis Road for a report of a person shot.
Upon arrival, Officers located an unconscious 18 year-old girl suffering from a single gunshot wound. The victim was later pronounced.
7 Edson Street, Dorchester
On Sunday, September 20, 2009, at approximately 3:49am, Boston Police Officers assigned out of Area B-3 (Mattapan), responded to the area of 7 Edson Street for reports of shots fired. Several calls were received stating that a large group of people were congregating in the area when several shots were heard. While officers were enroute, they were informed that a person had been shot.
Upon arrival, Officers located four individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. They were transported to various Boston area hospitals for treatment.
A 25 year-old male was later pronounced at Brigham & Women’s Hospital as a result of his gunshot wounds. The three other victims are expected to survive. At this time, they are only being described as a 26 year-old male (The Carney Hospital), A 40 year-old male (Boston Medical Center), and a 19 year-old female (Boston Medical Center).
The Boston Police Department is actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding these incidents. Anyone with information is strongly urged to contact the Boston Police Homicide Unit at (617) 343-4470.
