Armed Robbery Incident at 666 American Legion Highway

About 8:07am today, officers from District E-18 (Hyde Park and Roslindale) responded to 666 American Legion Highway/Boston Check Cashers for an armed robbery call.On arrival, officers spoke to the victim who was visibly shaken. The victim reported that this morning at approximately 7:50am, she was leaving her home located in Dorchester when a masked suspect approached her in the hallway. The suspect, who was armed with a gun, forced the victim outside where she was confronted by a second masked suspect armed with a knife. The suspects then forced the victim into her own car, all the while threatening her not to look at them.
The suspects forced the victim to drive to her job, the Boston Check Cashers. There, the suspects repeatedly warned and threatened the victim and ordered her to open the door to the store. Once inside, the victim was forced to open the safe and an undetermined amount of money was taken. The victim’s hands and legs were then bound while suspects fled the store with the victim’s car.
The victim was able to free herself after a while at which time she called the police. A description of the victim’s car was broadcast over the police radio, and about an hour later, the car was located at the intersection of Elm Hill Ave. and Cheney St. in Dorchester.
Suspects’ Description:
· Two Black Non-Hispanic Males
· 20-30 years of age
· 5’7” in Height
Car Description:
· 1995 Blue Navy Blue Honda Odyssey
· MA. Registration # 80NW28
The suspects of this incident have not yet been apprehended. Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact E-18 detectives at (617) 343-5607.
