Firearm Arrest in MattapanWhile on patrol around 7:01pm, officers in District 3 observed what appeared to be a firearm protruding from an individual’s shirt. Officers stopped the individual to perform a threshold inquiry. Jamal Clemons, 21, of Dorchester was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, and Possession of a Loaded Firearm and Possession of Firearm with Altered Serial Number. Officers did recover a firearm from the suspect.

Last night around 10:17pm, officer in District 3 responded to a radio call for shots fired at 231 Talbot Avenue. On arrival officers spoke with the caller who reported shots being fired. Officers searched the area but could not locate any ballistic evidence at the scene. Minutes later officers were informed that a victim of a gunshot wound had arrived at Boston Medical Center. Officers responded to Boston Medical Center and located a victim suffering from a gunshot wound to leg. The victim reported to officers that he was walking on Talbot Avenue when he heard about three to five shots and realized he was shot. The victim was treated for a non-life threatening injury.

Late last night around 11:30pm, officers in District 4 responded to Boston Medical Center for a walk in gunshot victim. On arrival officers located a victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the buttocks. The victim was very uncooperative with the police. The victim was treated for a non-life threatening injury.
Suspect Apprehended Inside Motor Vehicle.
This morning around 2:05am, officers in District 7 responded to a radio call for male breaking into a car, now in a truck. Officers spoke with caller who stated that he heard a car alarm going off and looked out the window. The caller observed the suspect looking into several vehicles and pulling on door handles. The caller stated he observed the suspect open the door to a truck and climb inside. Officers observed the suspect lying down inside the truck hiding. Michael Capone, 17, of East Boston was arrested and charged with Breaking and Entering Motor Vehicle. Officers also observed the contents of the vehicle to be strewn about.
