Police Memorial Sunday – Sunday June 4, 2006

\"Memorial_wide.jpg\"Police Memorial Sunday, a day set aside by statute for the purpose of honoring deceased members of the Boston Police Department will occur on June 4, 2006. Superintendent-In-Chief Albert E. Goslin and William F. Carroll, President of the Boston Police Relief Association, will be present on this occasion to honor the memory of all deceased members of the department.
The ceremony will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the main entrance to the Mount Hope Cemetery at Walk Hill Street in Mattapan. Motorcycle officers, members of the Boston Police Honor Guard, Gaelic Column and Mounted Unit will lead a procession to the Police Memorial Statue. Services will commence at approximately 10 a.m. with a Mass for the deceased members of the department, concelebrated by Reverend John J. Connolly, and Reverend Sean Connor, Department Chaplains, followed by an ecumenical service celebrated by Grand Rabbi Yitzchok A. Korff.
