Quincy Pair Arrested Tagging Back Bay BuildingEarly this morning anti-crime officers in District 4 arrested two Quincy men charging them with Destruction of Property and Damage to Property by Graffiti. Michael Beck, 20, and John Mooney, 23, were arrested in the area of Dartmouth Street and Marlborough Street by under cover officers minutes after they allegedly tagged a building on Dartmouth Street. Both men had several spray paint cans and markers on their person that are being held as evidence. They will be arraigned today in Boston Municipal Court.
South Boston Assault Lands Three in Jail
Three South Boston men were arrested just before 1:00am this morning outside 367 East Eighth Street after they allegedly robbed and beat a fourth South Boston man. Jeffrey Connors, 44, Jay Connors, 33, and Paul Bryant 37, were taken into custody after the victim and witnesses told police that they beat and robbed the victim in the parking lot after an altercation. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The three suspects were found to be possession of the victim’s watch and other personal items. Arraignment is today in South Boston District Court.
Dorchester Man Arrested with Sawed Off Rifle
Officers in District 13 recovered a loaded sawed off rifle in the area of the Jackson Square T-station last night at around 10:39pm. An individual was observed walking and upon seeing the officers quickly changed directions and took off running. After a brief foot chase the officers stopped 25-year-old Corey Robinson of Dorchester and discovered the loaded gun discarded on the ground. Robinson will be charged with possession of class “D”, marijuana, and unlawful possession of the gun/ammunition and arraigned today in Roxbury District Court.
