Crook With a ConscienceSaturday afternoon at approximately 3:15 in the afternoon, a 33-year-old Boston woman was using an ATM machine on Franklin Street when an unknown white male approached her and pushed her against the machine, stating he needed money for baby formula. The woman told the suspect that the money in her hand was all she had. At this time, a witness walking by noticed the incident and called the police. The suspect became flustered, told the victim “I can’t do this,” and fled the scene. No money was taken and the victim was not injured.
Lovers Quarrel Spills Into Police Station; Leads to One Arrest
A 38-year-old Randolph man entered the District 3 police station yesterday to report that as he was driving down Blue Hill Avenue, his ex-girlfriend began ramming the front of her motor vehicle into the rear of his. At this time, the suspect entered the police station and the two began to argue. The suspect, Leasa Cunningham, 42, of Taunton, then left the station and was found in the parking lot vandalizing the victim’s vehicle with a sharp object. Cunningham was taken into custody and arrested for Malicious Destruction of Property.
Two Arrested for Public Drinking
Officers in the Tactical Bicycle Unit were on Dudley Street last night at approximately 6:50pm when they observed two males drinking from an open container of Mohawk Vodka directly across from a liquor store. During a routine threshold inquiry, the suspects refused to cooperate with officers and gave conflicting information. Both suspects, Joseph Rodriguez, 21, of Dorchester and Edgardo Rodriguez, 23, of Boston, were arrested for Drinking in Public.
Man Stabbed by Belligerent Girlfriend
Police responded to a radio call for a person stabbed at 67 Geneva Avenue last night at approximately 12:30am. Upon arrival, officers spoke to the victim who stated that he had a verbal argument with his girlfriend and as he was leaving, she came up behind him and stabbed him with a knife. The victim had a visible injury to his shoulder and was treated by EMS at the scene. Officers spoke to the suspect, Sheila Fuentes, 34, or Dorchester, who refused to answer any questions regarding the incident. A knife was seized from Fuentes and she was arrested and charged with Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon.
