Boston Common Area Arrests

This morning at 1:15 an officer assigned to District 1 patrolling the Boston Common area stopped Nicholas DePina, 23, of Scituate one block away at Charles and Stuart Street. DePina was wanted on a parole violation warrant for Breaking and Entering in the nighttime with the Intent to commit a Felony. DePina was placed under arrest and transported to District 1.Later in the afternoon around 2:00pm, officers assigned to the Boston Municipal Police Department patrolling the Boston Common observed two individuals sitting on a bench near the baseball field. When the officers approached the individuals, one of the attempted to conceal an item in a bag. The officers observed a crack pipe and crack cocaine. Both suspects were placed under arrest and transported to District 1. Police arrested Aaron Williams, 44, of Roxbury and charged him with Possession Class B, and Derrick Odoms, 34, of Dorchester who was arrested for Failing to Register as a Sex Offender. About 25 minutes later, another Municipal Officer arrested William Moore, 50, (homeless) on the Boston Common. Moore was wanted on a Superior Court Statutory Rape Warrant as well as Failing to Register as a Sex Offender.
