15-Year-Old Male Arrested With Loaded FirearmYesterday afternoon officers from District 2 responded to a radio call for shots fired in the area of Copeland and Warren Streets in Roxbury. Boston Operations broadcasted a description of the suspect to the officers responding to the call. Moments later, officers observed a suspect fitting the description of the wanted individual. When the suspect observed the officers, he turned away and began to flee from the area. The officers eventually stopped the suspect and recovered a loaded 9mm firearm from his waistband. The 15-year-old male from Roxbury was charged with Delinquency to wit: Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition. At the booking desk, it was discovered that the suspect was also wanted in Dorchester District Court for Delinquency to wit: Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Possession of Burglarious Tools, Operating a Motor Vehicle without a License, and Using a Motor Vehicle without Authority. He will be arraigned in Boston Juvenile Court.
Teen Arrested for Unarmed Robbery in Downtown Boston
While walking home from 55 Pemberton Square yesterday afternoon at about 3:10, a 15-year-old victim alerted a Federal Protective Police Officer that he had just had his silver colored chain with a medallion of Jesus Christ ripped off his neck by a 14-year-old male who was also leaving the same building. The suspect fled into the Haymarket M.B.T.A. station with the Federal Officer and officers from District 1 in pursuit. The suspect continued running and exited the train station and was apprehended at the corner of Cambridge and Sudbury Street. The victim positively identified the suspect, and the jewelry was recovered. The 14-year-old male from Dorchester was placed under arrest and transported to District 1 where he was charged with Delinquency to wit: Unarmed Robbery.
One Hospitalized and Three Arrested Drinking in East Boston Cemetery
Police in District 7, have received numerous complaints about teenagers drinking and trespassing in the Jewish Cemetery on Wadsworth Street. Last night at about 7:50, a Community Service Officer from District 7 observed four males standing inside the cemetery, which is posted no trespassing. The officer discovered the four males had 20 empty beer cans, 10 full cans of beer, and a half empty/full bottle of whiskey. Police arrested Scott Rogers, 17, of Brookfield, IL; James Walz, 21, and Christopher Walz, 19, both of East Boston for Trespassing and Drinking Alcohol in Public. James Walz was also wanted on numerous warrants out of Winthrop and East Boston. A fourth suspect was transported to the Massachusetts General Hospital to be treated for intoxication. Officers will seek complaints against him in the East Boston District Court.
Female Stabbed on Seaver Street
Last night around 7:49, officers responded to a radio call for a person with a gun at 266 Seaver St. The 14-year-old female victim stated to officers that she was stabbed, and showed officers a puncture wound on her left side. The victim stated that she was being followed by a group of girls when a fight broke out after a verbal exchange. The victim was taken to Boston Medical Center and treated for her injuries. Catherine Pizarro, 18, of Roxbury was place under arrest for the stabbing.
Going To McDonalds Is No Treat
Last night about 10:42, officers responded to a radio call for a person stabbed at 301 Warren St. On arrival officers observed a female lying face up on the sidewalk bleeding from the chest area. The victim, engaged in a physical altercation with a very large group of girls. The victim emerged from group and collapsed, she was taken to Boston Medical Center and treated for her injuries.
House Party Leads to Arrest of Four People
This morning about 1239, officers from District 14 responded to a radio call for a loud party at 22 Highgate St. Officer spoke with the residence of the house to end the party, which they did all individuals left the area. Once again, officers received a radio call at 3:15am for the same loud party. The following people were placed under arrest, Eric Hodgeman, 22, of Brighton, Oguzhan Gurgen, 27, Russell Jeppesen, 22 and Mark Verbeck, 22 all from Allston.
