Lansdowne Street StabbingA detail officer on Lansdowne Street was notified of a large fight outside Avalon Club at 1:45am this morning. A large group of males was found attempting to fight each other in the street. Amidst the commotion, officers located a 27-year-old male victim who was stabbed in the back. The victim was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries and is in stable condition. Witnesses identified 21-year-old Gregory Polycarpe of Hyde Park as the suspect and he was arrested for the assault. A knife was recovered at the scene.
Two Arrested, Gun Recovered in Chinatown
Officers from District 1 stopped a car on Washington Street in Chinatown just after 1:00am this morning after they observed the passenger throw trash out the window. A check of the operator’s license status showed it to be suspended. As the officers removed the operator, 20-year-old Karl Graham they observed an empty gun holster on his waist. The passenger, 20-year-old Mark Fletcher, was immediately removed from the car and officers found a loaded .38 caliber handgun in his coat pocket. Both men were arrested.
South End Shooting Leaves One Injured, One Arrested
Officers in District 4 were informed of a shooting on W. Canton Street at about 4:35pm yesterday afternoon. Witnesses in the area directed officers to a fleeing suspect and a chase ensued. At the scene, officers located a 19-year-old male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the stomach. The victim was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The suspect, 18-year-old Brian Gourgue of Boston was found hiding under a car in the rear of the McKinley School. The gun was recovered outside 30 Montgomery Street.
Two Children Left Alone in Locked Car
At 10:15am yesterday, officers from District 1 were called to the parking garage at 20 Clinton Street, Downtown on a report of two children locked inside a parked car on the fifth level. A garage supervisor informed officers that an employee of his observed the children sitting inside the parked and unattended car. Officers made there way to the fifth level and found the children locked inside the car. Officers were able to get one of the children to unlock the door. Boston EMS responded and took the children, both boys ages 3 and 6, to New England Medical Center for evaluation. While completing the police report back at the station, officers were informed that the children’s mother and her boyfriend came to the police station to locate the children. The mother was informed that the children were taken to the hospital and that a report of child abuse/neglect was filed with DSS. This investigation is ongoing.
