Two Gun Arrests Made in AllstonLast night at approximately 6:45pm, officers from District 14 were on patrol on Commonwealth Avenue and Washington Street when they observed two males walking in a hurried fashion, looking back toward the officers in a suspicious manner. The officers exited their cruiser to conduct a threshold inquiry but the two suspects fled, refusing to stop for the officers. During the foot pursuit, the first suspect, Locie Williams, 21, of Brookline, dropped a firearm before he attempted to scale a fence. Both suspects, Williams and Alexander Burns, a 19-year-old Brighton resident, were apprehended and arrested on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition and Disturbing the Peace. The firearm was recovered and kept for evidence.
Juvenile Arrested for Possessing Gun
Officers responded to a radio call last evening at Woodledge Street for shots fired. Upon arrival, they observed three males walking in the area. When officers stopped them, they identified themselves before the officers conducted a pat frisk on them. The first suspect, a 16-year-old Dorchester resident, had a firearm in his pocket that the officer seized. The other suspects were frisked and had no weapons on them. The first suspect was taken into custody for charges Delinquency to wit: Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Ammunition.
Officer in Dorchester Witnesses Assault and Battery
An off duty officer was on Melville and Washington Streets last night around 8:45pm when he saw three black males in the middle of Washington Street having a heated argument. Shortly thereafter, the officer heard two gunshots and saw two of the men jump into a car and flee the scene. The other man appeared to be injured and began walking in the opposite direction. The officer pursued the suspects who fled in their vehicle but the suspects refused to stop. When they were apprehended, the two suspects and the driver of the vehicle were placed under arrest. The suspects, Cory Robinson, 19, of Roxbury, Jonathan Carter, 18, of Dorchester and Tyrone Shepherd, 21, of Dorchester were booked on charges of Assault and Battery by means of a Dangerous Weapon and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. The operator of the vehicle, Shepherd, was also charged with Operating a Vehicle Without a License. The victim, a 19-year-old Roxbury man, was taken to Boston Medical Center for a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
Dorchester Man Arrested for Knife Assault
While conducting Operation Home Safe last night on Hancock Street, officers observed two males fighting on the sidewalk. They observed one of the individuals lunge at the other with a knife, causing a stab wound. Officers pursued the suspect when he attempted to flee the scene, waving his knife around in a threatening manner as they apprehended him. The suspect, Hermitao Rosa, 21, of Dorchester, was arrested and charged with Assault and Battery by means of a Dangerous Weapon and two counts of Assault by means of a Dangerous Weapon. The victim was taken to Boston Medical Center for treatment of his stab wound.
Motor Vehicle Stop Results in Gun Arrest
Officers assigned to the Youth Violence Strike Force made an on sight arrest last while participating in Operation Home Safe. While conducting a motor vehicle stop at Magnolia and Greenheys Streets, the driver of the vehicle admitted he didn’t have a driver’s license. Both passengers were asked to step out of the car where officers conducted pat frisks. The driver of the vehicle had a firearm in his front pocket that was seized and kept as evidence. The vehicle he was driving was a rental in someone else’s name. The vehicle was towed and the suspect was arrested for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Ammunition, Operating after Revocation or Suspension and Using a Motor Vehicle Without Authority.
Two arrested in Dorchester After Police Execute Search Warrant
Last night at about 11:17pm, members of the Drug Control Unit executed a Dorchester District Court search warrant at 165 Delhi Street after conducting a drug investigation at that location. Officer seized drugs, personal papers, United States Currency, drug paraphernalia, a firearm, a sawed off shotgun barrel, and various rounds of ammunition. Police arrested Harry Williams, 35, of Mattapan and charged him with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Possession with Intent to Distribute Class D within 1000’ of a school zone. Also arrested was Michael Saddler, 23, of Mattapan who will be charged with Unlawful Possession of Ammunition. Both will be arraigned in the Dorchester District Court this morning.
