Smile For the CameraThe only picture taken in this incident was at District 7’s booking desk. On Sunday afternoon, an officer from District 7 was approached by an employee at Walgreen’s in Central Square who reported that a suspect had just stolen a camera and was walking down the street. The officer stopped Fernando Aguillon, 32, of East Boston and found him to be in possession of six cameras with no receipts. He was placed under arrest and charged with Shoplifting. He’ll be arraigned in East Boston District Court this morning…and no, he didn’t smile for his booking picture.
While She Was Cleaning, He Attempted to Clean Out Her Wallet
About 12:35pm on Sunday afternoon, a detail officer working in City Hall Plaza observed Anthony Lancia, 48, of Chelsea having trouble at an ATM. The officer asked the suspect if he needed assistance when the suspect told the officer it was his wife’s ATM card and that she stole all his money. Further investigation revealed that the ATM card as well as a wallet he was in possession of was stolen inside a nightclub while its owner was cleaning the club. Lancia was placed under arrest and also found to be in possession of Klonopin. He will be arraigned today in the Boston Municipal Court and charged with Possession Class C, Receiving Stolen Property and Attempted Larceny of a Credit Card. The wallet was returned to the victim.
Seeds, Flowers and Plants Grow in Pot, Not Guns
Officers from District 2 responded to 881 Huntington Avenue on Sunday shortly before 1:00pm on a report of a found weapon. On arrival the officer’s spoke with a detail officers who found the gun inside the flowerpot. Further investigation revealed the firearm was a BB gun. The officers recovered the weapon and transported it to the district station.
Teen Shot in Roxbury
Last night at 10:22pm, officers from District 2 responded to a radio call for shots fired at 133 Harold Street. While responding to the call the officers were notified that someone was shot at 62 Holworthy Street. The officers located the 15-year-old male from Roxbury who stated that while riding his bike home he heard multiple shots fired and a vehicle flee the scene. The victim then discovered a bullet had grazed him. He was transported to the Boston Medical Center and treated for a minor laceration. A crime scene was established and ballistic evidence was recovered. The incident remains under investigation.
