Daily Incidents for March 19, 2006

South Boston Convenience Store RobbedLast night at about 11:13pm, officers from District 6 responded to a report of a hold up alarm at 473 West Broadway. The victim reports that that an unknown suspect entered the store asking for change for a dollar bill. When the victim opened the register, the suspect produced a knife and demanded money from the register. The suspect cut the victims hand with the knife then removed cash from the register. The suspect fled out the door toward Athens Street.
Suspect Arrested for Tagging Northeastern Property
Northeastern Police responded to 153 Hemenway this morning at about 3:45am for a report of people tagging Northeastern property. The officer stopped an individual in front of the Museum of Fine Arts and found him to be in possession of marijuana and a black and silver marker that matched the writing of the damaged property. Police arrested William Long, 18, of Scituate who will be arraigned in Roxbury District Court for Damage to Property by Graffiti/ Tagging and Possession of Class D.
Victim Robbed While Delivering Food in Dorchester
A forty-one year Asian male entered the District 2 police station last night to report that he was robbed while delivering food on Hamilton Street in Dorchester. The victim states that two males, one armed with a firearm, robbed him of cash and his cell phone. The suspects fled, the investigation continues.
Suspect Arrested After Attempted Robbery
Officers assigned to District 1 arrested Michael Hicks, 25, of Brockton, for Unarmed Assault with intent to Rob and threats to commit a crime at 363 Tremont Street this morning at 1:03am. According to witnesses, the driver of a cab stated he pulled his taxi over to allow his passenger to vomit, when the suspect attempted to take the victims wallet. The victim had his wallet in his hand and was attempting to pay the cab driver for vomiting inside the taxi. The suspect struggled with the victim as the cab driver assisted the victim. The suspect was placed under arrest and transported to District 1.
