Yesterday, Detectives from District 14 along with members of the Boston Police Major Case Unit, the United States Postal Service and representatives from Federal Express Corporation arrested five individuals for their involvement in an elaborate identity theft scheme. Dmitry Nekrasov, 21, Kirill Adreenko, 21, Tatiana Mishanina, 23, Semen Nikulin, 23 and Svetlana Kravtsova, 19, all of Allston, were arrested and charged with Larceny by Scheme and Receiving Stolen Property.Investigators received information from a New Jersey based camera company that beginning on or about January 26, 2006 continuing to March 15, 2006 the company has delivered via Fed Ex, twenty-two (22) digital cameras and one cell phone with a total value of about $20,000 to 35 Allston Street in Allston. The items were purchased over the Internet with fraudulently obtained credit cards. The identities of at least seven (7) victims were used to obtain the credit accounts used to purchase the cameras. None of the identity fraud victims ordered or received the items. Boston Police detectives, with the help of the US Postal Service, Fed Ex and the camera company, intercepted two digital cameras that were ordered as part of the scheme. A Boston Police detective, dressed as a Fed Ex delivery person and driving a Fed Ex truck, made a controlled delivery of the two packages to the Allston Street apartment. Upon delivery of the items to Tatiana Mishanina, which she accepted and signed for, the detective signaled to backup units who entered the house and controlled the scene. Inside the apartment, officers arrested Mishanina, Adreenko and Kravtsova. Nekrasov and Nikulin were identified and arrested a short time later at District 14. All will be arraigned in Brighton District Court on Monday morning.
