Suspect Arrested with Stolen Property and For Failing To Register as a Sex OffenderDavid Foye, 38, of South Boston was walking through the Theater District on Friday night carrying a $700 Bose stereo, a $50 bottle of Champagne, six nips, and seven packs of cigarettes. Officers stopped Foye and conducted a threshold inquiry. The suspect gave several conflicting stories to the officers about his possessions. Finally, he told officers he had just purchased the items from someone on the street. The suspect was placed under arrest for Buying, Receiving, or Concealing Stolen Items. Further investigation revealed the suspect Failed to Register as a Sex Offender. He will be arraigned in the Boston Municipal Court on Monday.
Suspect Robs Dry Cleaners in South Boston
Officers from District 6 responded to an armed robbery last night at 16:04 hours at 768 East 4th Street in South Boston. According to witnesses, an unknown white male armed with a firearm entered the Dry Cleaners and robbed the victim of United States Currency. The suspect then fled out the rear door. He remains at large. No injuries were reported at the Cleaners.
Firearm Recovered in Mattapan
Members of the Youth Violence Strike Force participating in “Operation Home Safe” recovered a firearm from a concerned citizen after this person entered District 3 last night at 17:30 hours. Officers secured the firearm to be forwarded to the Ballistic Unit.
17-year-old- Male Stabbed on Woodbine Street
Officers from District 2 responded to 12 Woodbine Street last night at about 21:12 hours on a report of a stabbing. On arrival officers spoke with the victim who stated an unknown black male stabbed him in the leg after an altercation that occurred on Woodbine Street. The victim was transported to the Boston Medical Center where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries. No arrests have been made.
Jamaica Plain Fruit Market Robbed
Two suspects entered the Boylston Street Fruit Market last night at about 20:30 hours armed with a firearm demanding money. One suspect was armed with a firearm while the second suspect grabbed the cash register containing United States Currency. Both suspect fled in different directions. No arrest was made, the incident remains under investigation.
Huntington Avenue/ Barbara Street Armed Robbery
A twenty- three-year-old female reports while getting off an MBTA bus this morning at 00:05 in Jamaica Plain she was approached by a suspect armed with a silver handgun who robbed her. The suspect robbed the victim of United States Currency and fled toward Centre Street. The victim was not injured. The suspect remains at large.
Suspect Arrested with Firearm Outside Police Headquarters
This morning at 00:26 hours, an officer assigned to District 2 stopped a motor vehicle for an motor vehicle infraction outside of One Schroeder Plaza. After approaching the vehicle, the officer smelled a strong odor of alcohol from inside the vehicle and observed both occupants to be in possession of cups believed to be mixed alcoholic beverages. The operator, Llamar Antwoine Axell, 27, of Dorchester was observed operating the vehicle after his license was suspended. Officers placed him under arrest for this offense. The officer conducted a search incident to a lawful arrest and discovered the operator to be in possession of a loaded firearm. The passenger was also in possession of a box cutter. That officer suffered a cut from the weapon while removing it from the suspect. The passenger was released after being issued a citation for an open container of alcohol in the passenger area of a vehicle and a seatbelt violation. Axell was charged with Operating After Suspension, Open Container of Alcohol in the Passenger area of a Vehicle, Unlawful Possession of Firearm/ Ammunition. He will be arraigned in the Roxbury District Court.
Suspect Slashes Victim After Attempting to Rob Victim
A 23-year-old male from Dorchester reports that at 05:15 this morning an unknown male approached him and attempted to rob him of his wallet on Ditson Street in Dorchester. When the victim told the suspect he didn’t have one, the suspect slashed his arm. The suspect fled in an unknown direction. The victim transported himself to the Carney Hospital where he was treated for his injuries.
