As part of our weeklong celebration of Faith & Blue, officers from District C-6 (South Boston) spoke to students at the South Boston Catholic Academy about the importance of building meaningful connections within their communities. Officers spent time engaging the students in conversation before helping them create individual rosary beads – further bringing together faith, fellowship, and service.
The nationally recognized Faith & Blue Initiative strengthens police-community bonds by uniting law enforcement, faith-based institutions and the community. The Boston Police Department has been an engaged, supportive and participating partner of this endeavor since its inception in 2020. Faith-based partnerships are a powerful motivator to addressing some of the community’s most challenging issues, including addressing violence, quality of life issues and building trust.
