At about 6:36 PM, on Sunday, June 9, 2024, officers assigned to District E-13 (Jamaica Plain) arrested a 12-year-old juvenile male, on an assault charge.
Officers responded to a radio call for a person with a knife in the area of Washington Street and Chilcott Street. Officers were provided a description of a group of five juveniles who had threatened a victim with a knife.
Officers arrived on scene and began to canvass the area for the group. Officers were able to stop a group matching the description in the area of Montebello and Haverford Street. Officers frisked one of the suspects and recovered a knife.
The 12-year-old juvenile male was placed under arrest and charged with delinquent to wit; assault with a dangerous weapon. He is expected to be arraigned in Boston Juvenile Court.
