This week, officers from District B-3 and Boston Fire were recognized with Everyday Hero Awards presented by the Zoll Medical Corporation!
The Massachusetts-based company manufactures the device used by our officers to save a beloved member of our community. At the Apple Grove Community Meeting in October 2023, host and long-time community activist, Myrtle Huggins, suffered a life-threatening cardiac episode in the middle of a meeting. BPD and BFD members in attendance sprung into action.
In addition to the awards, a Zoll AED was donated in Ms. Huggins name to the charity of her choice. She chose the Charles Street AME Church! Congrats to all!!!
