Around 10:59PM last night, Saturday, June 25, 2011, officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to the area of Dearborn and Eustis Streets in Roxbury for a report of shots fired.
On arrival, officers were directed to the immediate area around 124 Eustis Street where they were able to locate ballistic evidence. A short time later, officers were advised of a self-transported victim to Boston Medical Center whose injuries were deemed life threatening. Officers immediately responded there and were able to confirm that the victim had suffered apparent gunshot wounds in the Dearborn and Eustis Streets area. The victim, a 21 year-old black male was pronounced a short time after arrival at the hospital.
