Boston Police Officers Step Up To The Plate For 2nd Annual ‘Field of Dreams’ Wiffle Ball Tournament

Numerous officers participate to raise money for Juvenile Diabetes

WHAT:           The Boston Police Runners Club is holding the 2nd Annual ‘Field of Dreams’ Wiffle Ball Tournament to raise funds for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Numerous Boston Police officers and their families will be on hand for some competitive wiffle ball! Last year’s event raised $32,500 for juvenile diabetes. Rene Rancort of Boston Bruins’ fame will perform the National Anthem to kick off the competition.

WHY: The Boston Police Runners Club recognized that diabetes has effected many families throughout the Boston Police Department and the community. With the history of charitable efforts undertaken every year by the Boston Police Department, the club believed there was an important opportunity to contribute to this important cause.
