Yesterday morning around 11:40AM, officers from District D-4 (South End) arrested Castillo Fabian, 19 of Dedham and a 16 year-old male juvenile from Boston and charged them with Attempted Breaking and Entering, and Receiving Stolen Property.
Officers initially responded to a call for a breaking and entering in progress at 29 Lawrence Street. There, officers spoke to a witness who reported he heard some noise in the back of his house and looked out of his window and observed one of the suspects at his gate and the other looking over his neighbor’s fence.  It appeared after inspection that the suspects had entered through the back terrace door, removed the ground level screen window and attempted to open the window before fleeing the scene.

Officers received a description of the two suspects and broadcast that description to other units. Two officers overheard the broadcast and recognized the description of the suspects from an earlier incident.  The suspects were caught and stopped a short distance from the incident and held pending a possible identification. The suspects were positively identified by the caller/victim and subsequently found to be in possession of two stolen laptops which were reported stolen earlier in the day along with a woman’s wallet.
