About 4:34AM today, officers from District C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a radio call for an unknown at 34 Bay Street in Dorchester.
En route, officers were informed by the dispatcher that the victim was outside holding the suspect who had broken into his truck. On arrival, officers observed the victim assisted by another witness detaining the suspect.  Officers spoke to the victim who told officers that he caught the suspect inside his truck going through his property.  Victim stated that he initially looked out of his window and observed the suspect inside his truck, and so he ran out of his house, pulled the suspect out of his truck and held him down until officers arrived.

Officers conducted a pat frisk of the suspect and found the victim’s cell phone and case inside the suspect’s pocket. The suspect, Jeremiah Taste, 45 of Dorchester was arrested and charged with Breaking and Entering in the Nighttime and Larceny from a Motor Vehicle.
