On arrival, officers observed a motor vehicle that had struck the front of the home located at 34 Brown Ave. Specifically, officers observed damage to the fencing surrounding the property, as well as, the beams supporting the front porch. Officers located and spoke to the operator of the vehicle. While speaking to the operator, officers soon detected a smell of alcohol emanating from the suspect. When officers asked the suspect, who was examining and inspecting the damage done to his car, to explain what had happened, the suspect angrily replied, “I’m looking at what happened!!!” When asked to submit to a field sobriety test, the suspect refused. Upon speaking to witnesses, officers learned that the suspect had attempted to re-enter his motor vehicle before police arrived.

Officers arrested Adalberto Gonzalez, 26, of Boston and charged him with Operating Under the Influence (Alcohol).

A search of the motor vehicle enabled police officers to see and take possession of two empty beer cans.
