At about 12:55am, on Sunday, November 7, 2010, officers from Area B-3 (Mattapan) responded to a radio call for shots fired in the area of 64 Mascot Street. On arrival, officers located a male in his late teens suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound. The victim, suffering from life-threatening injuries, was transported to the Boston Medical Center where he was later pronounced. The victim has since been identified as Emmanuel Loissaint, 17, of Boston.

Two days later, at about 11:00am, on Tuesday, November 9, 2010, officers from Area B-3 (Mattapan) responded to a radio call for a body found in the rear of 63 Mascot Street. On arrival, officers located a 19 year-old male who was pronounced at the scene. The victim has been identified as Nervin Charlot, 19, of Boston. Upon locating the body, officers were unable to detect any obvious signs of trauma. In order to establish the cause and manner of death, an autopsy was conducted.

The preliminary autopsy report indicated that the victim sustained a gunshot to an area on the torso not immediately visible. As a result of these findings, as well as, the proximity of the victim located at 64 Mascot Street, investigators believe both victims are connected to the same incident.
