UPDATE: Death Investigation in the Area of Tovar and Cameron Streets

Homicide Victim Identified

On Wednesday, September 15, 2010 around 7:32pm, officers from District C-11(Dorchester) responded to the area of 27 Cameron Street for a person shot.

On arrival, officers located two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. One of the victims , a 21 year-old male was transported to Boston Medical Center by Health and Hospitals (EMS) suffering from life threatening injuries and on arrival at the hospital was pronounced a short time later. The victim has since been identified as Curtis Jarvis, 21, of Dorchester.

The other victim, a 21-year old male was transported to the hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The Boston Police Homicide Unit is actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. The Boston Police Department urges anyone with information, regardless how unimportant it may seem, to contact the Boston Police Homicide Unit at (617) 343-4470.
