J.P. Laundromat Robbed by Two Individuals at Gunpoint

On Friday, May 14, 2010, at approximately 5:51am, Boston Police Officers assigned out of area E-13 (JP), responded to 3050 Washington Street for a report of an armed robbery.

 Upon arrival, officers were met by the manager of the Laundromax Laundromat who informed them that two individual’s wearing dark clothing and hoodies, entered the store pointing a firearm at him and pulled him into the back room. He was then struck with the firearm in the back of the head by one of the individuals before being duck taped to a chair. The suspects then stole an undisclosed amount of United States Currency before fleeing from the establishment.

 Officers located additional witnesses that were outside during the incident and obtained a similar description. It was learned that the two suspects fled on foot going outbound on Walnut Park.

 Officers broadcast a description of the two suspects to other BPD units that were attempting to set up a perimeter of the general area. The first suspect is being described as: A Black male, medium build, approximately Five-Foot-Ten-Inches tall, approximately 180 lbs, wearing a black & grey hoodie and black pants. The second suspect is being described as: A Hispanic female, medium build, approximately Five-Foot-Six-Inches tall, approximately 150 lbs, wearing a black hoodie and black pants.

 Officers were unable to locate the suspects and Area E-13 (JP) Detectives are conducting a thorough investigation. Several pieces of evidence were located from the scene that is going to be processed.
