Around 5:11PM on Monday, March 22, 2010, officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) assisted by Boston Housing Authority police officers responded to 45C Horadan Way for a report of two males attempting to break down a door with a female victim screaming inside the apartment.
Walking beat officers in the area and Boston Housing officers quickly responded and encountered two suspects exiting the building foyer and stopped them until further investigation. Officers then responded to the victim’s apartment and spoke to her. The victim told officers that she was in her apartment with her two young children when the two suspects began knocking on her door. The victim, having been victimized in a prior B&E immediately called 911 when she heard one of the suspects say to the other, “Kick the (expletive) door in!” The suspects then started repeatedly kicking in the door. The victim, upon hearing the suspects trying to kick in her door started screaming.
The suspects, presumably hearing the suspect screaming then fled from her door and attempted to leave the building because the victim then observed them as they were trying exiting the building. The suspects, Damaso Villanueva, 39 of Brockton and James Saia, 49, of Waltham were arrested and charged with Attempted B&E of a Residence in the Daytime.
