DAILY INCIDENTS FOR TUESDAY, MARCH 16, 2010

BREAKING WINDOWS LANDS ONE IN POLICE CUSTODY

At about 3:00am, on Monday, March 15, officers from Area B-2 (Roxbury) were on patrol when an individual waved them over. Upon stopping their cruiser, officers saw that the individual was holding another individual who was seen smashing windows on a car parked in the area of 153 Blue Hill Avenue. Officers observed a green motor vehicle with its windows smashed out. While talking to the witness, a 2nd witness approached and stated that he also observed the suspect smash the windows.

Officers arrested Angel Diaz, 22, of Boston and charged him with the Willful & Malicious Destruction of Property.

HABITUAL TRESPASSER ARRESTED FOR TRESPASSING AGAIN

At approximately 10:00pm, on Monday, March 15, 2010, officers from Area C-6 (South Boston) were on patrol in the area of the Old Colony Housing Development when they observed two white males standing outside the front entrance of 278 Old Colony Avenue. The property is owned and operated by the Boston Housing Authority and is clearly posted with the signage that reads: No Trespassing. Additionally, there had been several recent complaints about drug activity in and around the area. Knowing this, officers returned to the area approximately two minutes later. Upon doing so, officers noted that when the males observed the officers, they began to walk away in a hurried fashion. As officers got closer, the individuals began running and hid. Moments later, officers relocated one of the individuals. When asked to explain his reason for running, the suspect stated, “I only ran because I was trespassed out of here.\”

Officers arrested Charles White, 30, of Boston and charged him with Trespassing.
