UPDATE: DRAPER STREET DEATH INVESTIGATION- Homicide Victim Identified

At approximately 7:25pm, March 3, 2010, Boston Police responded to 89 Draper Street in Dorchester (C-11) for a report of a person shot.  Upon arrival, officers observed a male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to Boston Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased as a result of his injuries.  The victim has been identified as Benjamin Martins, 30, of Dorchester. (CORRECTION – Original post identified victim as 20. The victim is 30 years old.)

The Boston Police Homicide Unit continues to actively investigate the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information regarding this matter is urged to call the Boston Police Homicide Unit at 617-343-4470.
