Early yesterday morning around 5:23AM, officers from the Drug Control Unit executed a search warrant at 65 Dix Street in Dorchester after securing a search warrant from the Dorchester District Court based on prior investigation.
Officers from the Drug Control Unit assisted by members of the SWAT Team Entry Unit entered apartment 2 at 65 Dix Street. On entry, officers located several children in the house and they were removed prior to full execution of the search warrant.
Once the children were removed, officers assisted by a drug canine were able to recover the following items of evidentiary value.
1) .38 Caliber Smith and Wesson Handgun
2) .38 Caliber Colt Revolver Handgun
3) Numerous rounds of Ammunition
4) 14 plastic Bags of Marijuana
5) 22 Plastic Bags of Crack Cocaine
6) A Digital Scale
7) Plastic Bags Used for Packaging of Drugs
8) 10.5 Grams of Unpackaged Crack Cocaine
As a result of the recovery of the above items, officers arrested suspects, Sylvester Halliday, 34 and Lakila Alexander both of Dorchester and charged them with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Trafficking Class B, and Possession of Class B with Intent to Distribute and Possession of Class D with Intent to Distribute. Another suspect, Jesse Alexander, 24 also of Dorchester was arrested and charged with Possession of Class D with Intent to Distribute.
Another Drug House Bites the Dust
Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, members of the Drug Control Unit secured a Dorchester District Court warrant and this morning around 5:10AM executed that search warrant at 100 Florida Street, Apt. #15 in Dorchester.
Officers knocked and announced their office in an attempt to gain entry into the apartment and while doing so observed a male trying to escape through the bathroom window with a bag in hand. The male was ordered back inside with the bag and officers proceeded to execute the search warrant.
Officers executed the search warrant and as a result recovered the following:
1) A Digital Scale
2) 44 Bags of Marijuana
3) A 22 Caliber Ruger Rifle
4) A Black River Johnson Revolver
5) A Large Capacity Feeding Device
6) A Plastic Bag Containing Heroin
7) A Box of Sandwich Bags Used to Package Drugs.
Due to the recovery of the above items, officers arrested Cassie L. Weeks, 46 of Dorchester and charged her Unlawful Possession of a of a Large Capacity Firearm, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device, Possession of Class D with Intent to Distribute and Being in the Company of a Person in Possession of Heroin. Suspect, Dwayne M. Williams, 24 of the South End was also arrested and charged them with Unlawful Possession of a of a Large Capacity Firearm, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device, Possession of Class D with Intent to Distribute and Possession of Class A with Intent to Distribute.
