At about 12:21am, on Saturday, January 9, 2010, officers from Area C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a radio call for a person shot in the area of 1886 Dorchester Ave (Store 24). While en route to the call, officers were informed via police dispatch that the suspects (possibly two black males) were seen fleeing on foot towards Fields Corner. Officers further learned that a small white car was seen leaving the area towards Ashmont Street.
On arrival, officers located a victim (a Hispanic male in early 20’s) inside the location suffering what appeared to be a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the arm. According to witnesses, the suspect and victim were seen arguing outside the store. Witnesses further state that 1 to 2 shots could be heard being fired. Officers observed and collected ballistic evidence in front of the store.
The victim was transported to the Boston Medical Center where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
