On Saturday, August 22, 2009, at approximately 4:30am, officers assigned to Area C-11 (Dorchester), responded to 192 Adams Street for a report of a loud party. It should be noted that officers have been called to this location on several occasions in recent time for similar calls.Officers arrived on-scene and immediately observed a large group standing on the front stairs of the property. They also heard a DJ playing loud music from the residence. Upon noticing the officers’ presence, the group ran into the apartment and locked the door. Officers knocked for approximately ten minutes before the door opened and approximately 80 to 100 people exited the building. Officers noted many were carrying various bottles of alcohol.
Officers were then able to speak with the occupant of the apartment who informed them that he has a section 8 voucher to rent and does not own the building.
Officers issued a city ordinance violation to Andrese Cruz, 22 of 192 Adams Street, Dorchester for Hosting an After Hours Party and Playing a Large Amplified Device within a Dwelling.
