MISSING PERSON ALERT

BOSTON POLICE SEEK PUBLIC’S ASSISTANCE TO LOCATE ELDERLY MISSING PERSONThe Boston Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in an effort to find an elderly man who has been missing since Saturday, August 15, 2009. The missing person in this case is an elderly 67 year old male who is suffering from early stages of Alzheimer’s, and takes numerous prescription medications for various health related issues. The missing person was last seen on Saturday evening around 7:00Pm in the Dorchester section of the City.
The missing person is described below as:
Name: Marcelino LOPES
Sex: Male
Age: 67
Race: Black Hispanic
Height: 5’8”
Weight: 155
Build: Slim to Medium
Hair: Bald
Eyes: Brown

Clothing: last seen wearing a Red Hat, Unknown Color Shirt, Black Pants, Black Shoes
Special Characteristics: Victim has a partially amputated left index finger and answers to the name of “Charlo”
Background Information: The victim has numerous health issues as stated above and is suffering from early onset of Alzheimer’s. The victim went missing several weeks ago and was found wandering in Easton at that time. It is possible that the victim may be headed to Rhode Island where he used to live.
Anyone with information regarding this person is asked to contact B-2 detectives by calling (617) 343-4275 or dialing 911. Individuals who wish to provide information anonymously can always do so by calling our CrimeStoppers Tip Line at 1-800-494-TIPS or texting ‘TIP’ to CRIME (27463). Again, we urge anyone who may have seen the victim or knows of his whereabouts to contact the above numbers as he is frail and is suffering from Alzheimer’s.
*Please be advised that the missing elderly man that we sent a Missing Person alert for last night was located early this morning unharmed. He was transported to the hospital for an evaluation and has been reunited with his family. We thank you for all your efforts to help us locate this victim and his family extends their thanks also.
