VICTIM IDENTIFIEDOn Friday, April 24, 2009, at approximately 11:40 am, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury), responded to the area of 71 Homestead Street for a report of a person shot.
Officers arrived on-scene and located an 18-year-old male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Despite the efforts of Boston EMS the victim was pronounced on-scene.
The victim has been identified as John Davis, 18, of Roxbury.
The Boston Police Homicide Unit is actively investigating the facts and circumstances of this incident.
