In light of the current financial situation and the Governor’s proposed plan, we are working closely with Mayor Menino to reduce costs and maintain the level of service to which the citizens of Boston have become accustomed. Our priority is to deliver top quality public safety services by maximizing our existing resources. We are now reviewing the Governor’s Fiscal Action Plan to determine exactly how it will affect the Boston Police Department.
