At about 10:15am on Thursday, September 18, 2008, an officer from District D-4 (Back Bay, South End) responded to 30 Cunard St to assist a detail officer who was informed by a witness that an infant child had fallen from a window at 30 Cunard St. The detail officer arrived on scene and observed an infant male approximately 9 months old laying unconscious on the sidewalk in front of the above location. Officers immediately secured the crime scene. The young victim was transported to Boston Medical Center by EMS where the child was soon pronounced as a result of the injuries sustained.At this time, the Boston Police homicide unit is working closely with the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office to determine the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident.
