Update to Quadruple Shooting

BOSTON POLICE APPREHEND SUSPECTFROM RECENT QUADRUPLE SHOOTING
Boston Police Credit Media Attention and Community Cooperation
The Boston Police Department is pleased to announce the apprehension of Caiheem C. Kindell, 18, of Brockton. He was arrested today in connection with the recent quadruple shooting that occurred in the early hours of July 5, 2008 in Hyde Park. Kindell is expected to be charged with numerous offenses including Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, and four counts of Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon.
The arrest was due to the diligent work of detectives and helpful tips received from concerned community members after local media broadcast surveillance footage taken the night of the incident. The Boston Police Department would like to take this opportunity to express our appreciation to the media and members of the community who assisted in identifying this individual.
The suspect will be arraigned this afternoon at West Roxbury District Court.
Incident Description:
At approximately 2:08Am on July 5, 2008, officers from District E-18 (Hyde Park) responded to 142 West St. in Hyde Park for a report of multiple victims shot.
On arrival, officers located four victims suffering from gunshot wounds. The victims were transported to area hospitals by ambulance, all with non-life threatening injuries.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the victims were in front of the Tedeschi’s convenience store when they were shot. The victims fled in their car to West Street and they subsequently called the police for assistance.
