HOMICIDE VICTIM IDENTIFIED

At about 11:40pm, on Monday, January 7, 2008, officers from Area C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a call for a person shot at the Canton House, a Chinese Restaurant, at 1728 Dorchester Avenue. On arrival, officers located an 18 year-old black male, inside the front lobby of the restaurant, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was immediately transported to the Boston Medical Center where he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced.The victim has been identified as 18 year-old Darrion Carrington, of Dorchester.
The Boston Police Department is actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is strongly urged to contact the Boston Police Homicide Unit at (617) 343-4470.
