B&E SUSPECTS ARRESTED IN BRIGHTONAt about 12:47am, on Tuesday, January 8, 2007, officers from Area D-14 (Brighton) observed a black male breaking into a motor vehicle in the area of Cleveland Circle. As officers approached the motor vehicle, the suspect fled. As the suspect was fleeing, officers observed the suspect carrying what appeared to be a GPS (Global Positioning System) in his hand. During the course of a foot pursuit, officers observed the suspect enter and, then, exit a motor vehicle. When officers stopped the car, the operator of the motor vehicle told officers that he knew the suspect. The operator of the car further stated that suspect entered his car, stuffed the GPS under the front seat and fled. A search of the motor vehicle produced the GPS, various burglarious tools, several car stereos and a lap top computer. As a result of the items recovered, officers arrested both occupants of the motor vehicle, Jonathan Pimentel, 20, of Jamaica Plain and Alexandro Garcia-Pena, 18, of Dorchester and charged both with the Possession of Burglarious Tools, Concealing Stolen Goods and Breaking & Entering a Motor Vehicle at Night.
Officers are still looking for the original suspect, a 5’10” black male with a stocky build, approximately 18-20 years in age.
