This evening around 5:17pm, officers responded to 399 Market Street in Brighton for a ceiling collapse. There, officers discovered that indeed the ceiling of The Rite Aid Pharmacy had collapsed. No major injuries were suffered however one person was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.As a result of this incident Market Street in the area of the Rite Aid Pharmacy will be closed for the remainder of the evening and during tomorrow’s morning commute. This measure is being taken to ensure the safety of everyone in the area and attempt to maintain the structural integrity of the building as the walls may also be collapsing.
In light of this event, we are asking individuals to avoid this area for the remainder of the evening and during tomorrow’s commute.
