DAILY INCIDENTS FOR FRIDAY, DECEMBER 14, 2007

B&E Suspect caught Laying DownYesterday, December 13, 2007, around 8:58am, officers from District E-13 (Jamaica Plain) responded to a radio call for the removal of an individual at 360 Walnut Ave. in Jamaica Plain.
On arrival, officers spoke to the victim who reported that her downstairs neighbor entered her apartment while she was taking out the trash. The victim told officers that her neighbor entered her apartment, ate some cake and then sought out her daughter’s bed in order to take a nap. The victim reported to officers that, on several occassions, she tried to get her neighbor to leave, but, the trespassing neighbor refused while screaming and yelling at the victim to leave her alone. The victim further states that she obseved the suspect take $6.00 dollars from her daughter’s dresser.
Officers entered the victim’s apartment where they observed the suspect laying down in the victim’s daughter’s bedroom. Officers again attempted to get the suspect to get up but she refused yelling various expletives at the officers.
The suspect, Inez T. Jones, 58, of Roxbury was arrested and charged with Breaking and Entering in The Daytime, and Larceny. After being transported to the station, the suspect fought and attempted to fight officers during the booking process and was subsequently charged with Assault and Battery on a Police Officer.
Detail Officer Arrests Carjacking Suspect
At approximately 9:50am last night, Thursday, December 14, 2007, an officer from District B-2 on patrol observed a visibly shaken woman at the intersection of Elm Hill Ave. and Wenonah St. in Roxbury. The officer stopped and asked the woman if everything was alright at which point she exclaimed that she was just carjacked.
The victim stated that she was getting in her car when a suspect pushed her out of the way and got in her. The victim further explained that she tried to stop the suspect by jumping on the hood but the suspect just kept driving. The suspect, however, when he realized that he had been observed by passersby jumped out of the car a short distance later.
A description of the suspect was broadcast, and within a few minutes a detail officer advised Operations that he had an individual matching the suspect description in front of 572 Warren Street. That individual was brought back to the scene of the crime where he was positively identified as the culprit. Suspect, Wilfredo A. Ortiz, 44, of Dorchester was arrested and charged with Carjacking.
Tag, Tow and Arrest
This morning around 1:18am, officers from District B-3 were in the 900 block of Blue Hill Avenue conducting Snow Emergency tows when they observed a car illegally parked in front of 919 Blue Hill Avenue.
The car was tagged and in the process of being towed when the owner jumped in the car refusing to allow the tow truck to drive away. Officers repeatedly told the suspect to exit the car so as to allow the tow truck driver to proceed but he refused telling officers “I don’t have to listen to some little Boston police officer!” The suspect continued yelling and screaming and told officers “If you arrest me, you will pay the consequences!” The suspect continued to ignore all requests and demands by the police officers and after some time was arrested. Suspect, Abdullahi Noor, 22, of Dorchester was arrested and charged with being a Disorderly Person.
