Daily Incidents For September 8, 2007

Suspect Arrested With GPS SystemYesterday at 5:45pm, while on patrol officers from District B-2 observed a male walking up Magazine Street looking at a GPS unit. The officer found it odd for the owner of a GPS system to be walking down the street holding the unit while suction base and cigarette adapter attached. The officer observed the suspect turn onto George Street. At that time the officer called to the suspect and asked if the GPS system belongs to him. As the officer got out of his cruiser the suspect fled on foot. The suspect was found lying on the ground in the brush on Dunmore Street. Michael Galloway, 36, of Roxbury was arrested and charged with Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle, Possession of Burglarious Tools and Buying, Receiving or Concealing Stolen Goods. Officers did recover the GPS system and a screwdriver from the suspect.
Two Arrested After Stabbing in East Boston
At 10:51pm, officers from District A-7 responded to a radio call for a fight at 551 Sumner Street. On arrival, officers observed a group of teens running down Lamson Street towards Everett Street. Officers were informed that one of the boys was stabbed during the fight in the park and they all ran down the hill. The suspect was apprehended at Cottage and Everett Streets. The victim positively identified the suspect. The victim was transported to Mass General Hospital and treated for a non-life threatening injury. A 15-year-old juvenile male from Revere was arrested and charged with Affray. Jeffery Sattery, 17, of Revere was arrested and charged with Assault and Battery by means of a Dangerous Weapon.
