Public Drinking and Drugs Lands Four in JailYesterday around 6:04pm, officers from District 2 while on patrol in the Codman Park and Brinton Street area did observed suspect Smith smoking a joint. Officers could smell a strong odor of burnt marijuana in the air. As officers approached the suspect dropped the joint on the ground next to his feet. Officers also observed several males drinking from clear plastic cups that contained dark amber colored liquid. Officers observed a bottle of Hennessey and a bottle of beer on the ground next to the suspects.
Travis Davis, 27, of Dorchester was arrested and charged with Trespassing and Drinking Alcoholic Beverages in Public. Stephen Jackson, 27, of Dorchester and Gregory Smith, 23, of Roxbury were arrested and charged with Possession of Class D, Trespassing and Drinking Alcoholic Beverages in Public. Also arrested was Dashawn Cole, 17, of Roxbury and charged with Possession of Alcoholic Beverage by Person Under 21. Officers did recover several bags of drugs from the suspects.
Search Warrant Executed at 151 Flaherty Way
Yesterday at 6:34pm, members from the District C-6 Drug Control Unit did execute a search warrant at 151 Flaherty Way. Reymundo Lopez, 22, of South Boston was arrested and charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B, Possession with Intent to Distribution of Class B within a 1000’ of a School Zone. Officers did recover cash, 13 plastic bags of Crack, digital scale and two empty boxes of Baggies.
Vigilant Officer Stops Robbery
At 2:52am, officers from District A-1 responded to a call to assist an officer with a robbery in progress at 50 Summer Street. On arrival, officers entered the convenient store and observed an officer struggling with the suspect. The suspect was finally handcuffed at a violent struggle. The officer stated that as he drove past the location he witnesses the suspect reaching over the counter and picking up multiple objects, throwing them at the victim. The officer stated that he thought the suspect was attempting to rob the store. The officer stated he entered the store an attempted to calm the suspect. The suspect continued to throw merchandise around the store at which time the officer attempted to arrest the suspect.
Officers spoke with the victim who stated that the suspect became irritated when he did not have enough money to purchase cigarettes. The victim stated the suspect began throwing merchandise at him and all over the store. John O’Neil, 30, of South Boston was arrested and charged with Resisting Arrest and Disorderly.
