STABBING SUSPECT ARRESTED IN THE COMMONSAt about 12:56am, on Sunday, June 24, 2007, officers from Area A-1 (Downtown) responded to a radio call for a person stabbed near 150 Tremont Street. On arrival, officers located an individual suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim was transported to MGH with non life-threatening injuries. Before being transported to the hospital, the victim was able to provide a description of the individual who stabbed him. Officers located an individual fitting the description provided by the victim inside the Boston Commons. While talking to the suspect, officers noted that the suspect had a cut on his hand. When officers questioned him about the injury, the suspect admitted to having stabbed someone. Officers then arrested James Sablone, 26, of Winthrop, and charged him with Assault & Battery By Means of a Dangerous Weapon (knife) and Armed Robbery.
SHOOTING SUSPECT TAKEN INTO CUSTODY
At about 8:40pm, on Saturday, June 23, 2007, officers from Area B-2 (Roxbury) were approached by an individual who stated that he had been the victim of a shooting back on February 22, 2007. (On that date, officers did respond to a call for a person shot at 112 Regent Street in Roxbury.) The victim from that previous incident further stated that he had just observed the individual responsible for shooting him. After getting a description of the suspect, officers were able to locate the suspect. After the victim positively identified the suspect, officers arrested Corey Houston, 23, of Mattapan, and charged him with Assault with Intent to Murder.
ARMED ROBBER ARRESTED IN ROXBURY
At about 9:43pm, on Saturday, June 23, 2007, officers from Area B-2 (Roxbury) received a radio call for an armed robbery in progress in the area of Marcella Street in Roxbury. On arrival, officers spoke to the victim who stated that, while walking down the street, he was approached by two black males. According to the victim, both suspects were armed (one with a gun, the other with a knife) and both demanded his money. Victim provided the following descriptions: suspect #1 (with the knife) was a 19-23 year-old, 5’9” dark skinned black male, slim build wearing all black; suspect #2 (with the gun) was a was slightly taller black male also wearing all black. Officers located an individual fitting the description of suspect #1. When asked if he was armed, suspect told officers that he was carrying a knife. That knife was later logged in as evidence. The victim was then brought to the location where the suspect was being detained. At that point, the victim was able to positively identify the suspect. Officers arrested Antonio Hudson, 24, of Malden, and charged him with Armed Robbery.
