At approximately 3:59pm today, Friday, June 22, 2007, officers from District 14 (Brighton/Allston) responded to 18 Tremont Street for a report of a kidnapping.On arrival officers located two separate witnesses, both of whom reported that they observed three individuals wearing sweaters, camouflaged clothing and ski masks drag a white male off the sidewalk and push him into van. The witnesses alternatively described the suspects’ vehicle as a dark colored van (possibly blue or gray) or SUV and gave a partial registration # of 3528 or a variation thereof belonging to a Virginia license plate.
One of the two witnesses attempted to follow the car as it sped off into traffic but lost sight of the suspect motor vehicle as traffic became more congested.
At this time, based on the reports given by witnesses it is unclear as to whether this incident is a prank or legitimate incident, however, as with any incident reported to the Boston Police Department, we are actively investigating this incident and ask anyone with information to contact District 14 detectives at (617) 343-4256, or (617) 343-4260. “Fight Crime 100% anonymously.
