GUN ARREST MADE IN DORCHESTERAt about 5:15pm, on Thursday, May 31, 2007, officers from District C-11 (Dorchester) observed an individual, sitting on a park bench, rolling what appeared to be a ‘joint’ (marijuana cigarette). Officers approached the suspect and confirmed that the individual was in possession of marijuana. While patting down the suspect, officers felt a hard metal object, consistent with the shape and feel of a firearm, in the suspect’s right pocket. Officers then removed a black firearm from the suspect’s person.
Officers then arrested a 15 year-old Hispanic male from Boston and charged him with the Unlawful Possession of a Firearm & Ammunition.
INAPPROPRIATE CLICKER USE IN JAMAICA PLAIN
At about 4:55pm, on Thursday, May 31, 2007, officers from District E-13 (Jamaica Plain) responded to a radio call for an assault and battery in progress at a restaurant at 3383 Washington Street. On arrival, officers spoke to the owner of the establishment who stated that a customer hit him in the head with the remote control from the television. According to the victim, he yelled at the suspect after the suspect kept messing around with the channels. According to the victim, the suspect kept changing the channels. After getting yelled at by the victim, the suspect then proceeded to beat the victim with the remote control.
Officers arrested Salah Ali Idle, 24, of Jamaica Plain and charged him with Assault & Battery with a Dangerous Weapon (Remote Control).
BIKE-RIDING B&E SUSPECT ARRESTED IN THE SOUTH END
At about 6:50pm, on Thursday, May 31, 2007, officers from District D-4 (South End) observed two Hispanic males riding bicycles and looking into cars in the area of Harrison Avenue. While watching the suspects, officers observed one of the suspects get off his bike and throw a hard object at the window of a parked car. The object thrown shattered the car window. Officers then arrested Julio Pagan, 42, of Dorchester, and charged him with the Willful & Malicious Destruction of Property.
