Fan Slides Into Second Base with Cheers but Ends Up in Jail AloneLast night around 9:30pm during the Red Sox game, officers arrested suspect, Patrick F. Lundgren, 17, of Belmont and charged him with Disturbing a Public Assembly, and Disorderly Behavior.
The suspect ran onto the field during the game causing the game to stop and causing the crowd to cheer as the suspect slid into second base.
Sleeping Car Thief Arrested in Stolen Car
This morning around 1:02am officers from District C-11 (Dorchester) arrested suspect, Gino Rengifo, 19, of Millis and charged him with Receiving a Stolen Motor Vehicle, and active warrant.
Officers initially responded to a radio call for 5 Clematis St. for a sex offense. On arrival, officers observed the suspect sleeping in a car. Officers spoke to the suspect who stated that he lived in Millis and walked to Boston from Millis. Check of the motor vehicle revealed that the car was reported stolen out of Millis, MA the day before. The suspect additionally was found with an I-Pod on his person that he stated was not his.
Two Suspects Arrested After Shooting at Victim with Shotgun
At approximately 2:21am this morning, officers from District B-3 (Mattapan) were on patrol in the area of Morton St. and Blue Hill Ave. when a man flagged them down.
The man, who turned out to be the victim of a shooting, reported to officers someone had just attempted to shoot him. The victim provided officers with a description of the suspects, their car and a possible location for the suspects. Officers responded to Leston St. where they observed a motor vehicle matching the suspect motor vehicle description given by the victim. Officers approached the motor vehicle and activated their lights and sirens in an effort to stop the motor vehicle, but the suspects began driving in reverse so as to avoid the officers. Other officers responded to the scene and were able to successfully stop the car before it fled the scene.
Officers recovered a shotgun during the traffic stop and the two occupants of the car were arrested. Suspect, Jamie Campbell, 25, of Dorchester was arrested and charged with Possession of a Sawed-Off Shotgun, Discharging a Firearm within 500’ of a Dwelling, Assault by means of a Dangerous Weapon, Assault with Intent to Murder, Carrying a Rifle or Shotgun on a Public Way, and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. Suspect, Lakesha A. Campbell, 27, of Dorchester was arrested and charged with Possession of a Sawed-Off Shotgun, and Discharging a Firearm within 500’ of a Dwelling.
