There’s Time and Place to Put on a Show! Not Now!Yesterday, Monday, May 7, 2007 around 1:00pm, officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to 175 Cabot St. for a large group of teenagers. There, officers encountered a large group of teenagers congregating and playing loud music. It should be noted that these teenagers were there during school hours and there had been prior complaints for the same problem in the past. Officers arrived and started to disperse the crowd when they were encountered by a very stubborn individual who became louder and more agitated as officers told members of the group to leave. The suspect refused to heed officers’ orders to disperse and as they were leaving began berating them with a barrage of insults and yelling obscenities. The suspect became increasingly agitated and loud as people started to come out of their house to determine what was going on and observe. Officers observed that the bigger the audience, the more suspect put on a show and performed for the gathering crowd. As officers attempted to leave the suspect then pulled out a handkerchief waving it and yelled “…I hate you #!%$ pigs!” Officers then arrested the 15- year -old suspect from Roxbury and charged him with being a Disorderly Person.
Where’s the Beef?
At approximately 2:11pm yesterday, officers from District 18 (Hyde Park) responded to a radio call for a larceny in progress at America’s Food Basket located at 942 Hyde Park Ave. in Hyde Park. On arrival officers spoke to the store manager who reported that there was a customer in the store shoplifting by concealing several packages of meat inside her coat. The store manager directed officers to the suspect who was in line. As officers approached the suspect she dropped three packages of meat from her coat onto the floor, and stated to the officers “Not mine, not mine!” The suspect, Sara Ramos, 65, of Revere was arrested and charged with Shoplifting and further determined to be in possession of a number of other items stolen from the store in her coat.
Suspect Arrested for Dealing Drugs in Hallway of Building
Last night around 8:11pm, officers from District E-13 (Jamaica Plain) responded to 279 Center St. in Jamaica Plain for a removal of individuals hanging in the hallway. On arriva, officers entered the hallway and observed what appeared what to be a hand-to-hand exchange consistent with drug dealing. One of the two suspects immediately fled upon seeing the officers, while the second suspect threw a plastic bag on the stairs. The suspect who threw the drugs on the stairs was successfully detained and placed under arrest after officers determined the contents of the bag to be marijuana. Suspect, Luis A. Juarbe, 20, of Jamaica Plain was arrested and charged with Possession of Class D, Possession of Class D with Intent to Distribute within School Zone, and Distribution of Class D. Officers seized the drugs as well as sum of money from the suspect. Search of the area for the other suspects was unsuccessful.
