DAILY INCIDENTS FOR TUESDAY, APRIL 16, 2007

8 Marathon Spectators ArrestedYesterday, Monday, April 16, 2007 officers assigned to the Marathon parade route arrested 8 individuals charging them with a number of charges ranging from Drinking in Public to Disorderly Conduct. Officers were assigned to area of Beacon St. and Park Dr. specifically for the purpose of targeting alcohol consumption and while there observed the following individuals in possession and consuming alcoholic beverages in public.
1. Kevin Scheitrum, 21, of Brookline charged with Drinking Alcohol Beverages in Public, and Being a Disorderly Person.
2. Justin L. Marchigiano, 19, of Worcester charged with Drinking Alcohol in Public, and Minor in Possession of Alcohol.
3. Gregory A. Dierksen, 21, of Allston charged with Drinking Alcohol Beverages in Public.
4. Daniel T. Piorkowski, 20, of Boston charged with Drinking Alcohol in Public, and Minor in Possession of Alcohol.
5. Matthew Rourke, 21, of Boston charged with Drinking Alcohol Beverages in Public.
6. Alison L. Regan, 20, of Brookline charged with Drinking Alcohol in Public, and Minor in Possession of Alcohol.
7. Emily Fleur A. Davis, 20, of Boston charged with Drinking Alcohol in Public, and Minor in Possession of Alcohol.
8. Benjamin A. Friend, 22, of Allston charged with Drinking Alcohol Beverages in Public.
Fleeing B&E Suspect Runs Into Police Officer
At approximately 1:00pm yesterday, April 16, 2007, a uniformed police officer in the rear of 98 Brookline Ave. performing crowd control for the Marathon observed a male running from the parking garage. The officer then heard the sound of an audible alarm. The suspect looked at the officer and proceeded to run faster. The officer chased the suspect and soon caught the suspect after observing him drop a photo ID and two CDs. Once the suspect was detained, the officer located the vandalized car and it’s owner. After the victim positively identified the recovered items the suspect, Geno V. Leco, 23, of North Attleboro was arrested and charged with Breaking and Entering Motor Vehicle.
Routine Patrol Results in Several Warrant Arrests
Yesterday afternoon between the hours of 2:00 and 4:00pm, officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) arrested 4 individuals wanted on outstanding warrants during routine patrol. Officers patrolling Blue Hill Ave. observed a group of individuals loitering in front of 168 Blue Hill Ave. an area for which officers have received numerous complaints. Stop and investigation of these individuals revealed them to be wanted on warrants. Officers arrested suspect, Fred Williams, 58, of Roxbury on two outstanding warrants, one out of Dorchester District Court for Violation of Auto Laws and another out of Roxbury District Court for Violation of Auto Laws. Suspect, James Little, 54, of Milton was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Roxbury Court for Drinking in Public.
After placing the above listed individuals under arrest, officers again while on routine patrol observed another group loitering in the area of 300 King Blvd. Stop and investigation of these individuals revealed suspect, Joseph Lewis, 47, of Mattapan to have two outstanding warrants, one out of Roxbury District Court for Possession of Class B, Possession of Class A, and Possession of Class D, and another issued from Brighton District Court for Failure to Appear for Probation on charges of Violation of Auto Laws. The other suspect, Attise Coleman, 37, of Dorchester was arrested on an outstanding warrant issued out of Woburn District Court for Violation of Auto Laws.
Night of Excuses Lands Driver in Jail
Last night, Monday 15, 2007 around 11:00pm, officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) observed a motor vehicle in the area of Blue Hill Ave. and Stratton St. operating at a very high rate of speed, approximately 70MPH. Officers activated their lights and sirens and attempted to stop the motor vehicle. The motor vehicle slowed down and as officers approached the motor vehicle, it again took off going up Blue Hill Ave. at a high rate of speed finally coming to a stop in front of 7 Vesta Road.
Officers removed the suspect from the car. As the suspect exited the vehicle he claimed that failed to stop because “the gas pedal was stuck.” After being placed under arrest, a search of the suspect revealed a plastic bag of marijuana in his socks. The suspect, once officers located the marijuana, stated “I forgot it [marijuana] was there!” The suspect, Andreas K. Brown, 21, of Dorchester was arrested and charged with Failure to Stop for the Police and Possession of Class D.
